August 2005 -- We fall madly in love
August 2006 -- We move in together
October 11, 2008 -- We get married and toss out the BCP on the same day. Everyone warns us it might take a while. We nod and smile while secretly hoping we'll be the lucky ones.
January 2009 -- I realize the joy of taking my BBT every morning. Looks like I ovulate regularly to me.
June 2009 -- I begin to wonder if there's something wrong.
- S/A -- excellent
- HSG -- possibly blocked right tube, maybe scar tissue at end of left tube, "something" in the uterus (polyp? fibroid?) (Holy crap that hurt.)
August 1, 2009 -- First Clomid cycle 100 mg CD3-7, timed intercourse, BFN
August 30, 2009 -- Medium to large cysts on both ovaries. Medicated cycle canceled. Try on our own. BFN.
September 26, 2009 -- Clomid 100 mg CD3-7, 4 mature follies, IUI canceled due to 4.2 mm lining. Luteal phase 15 days (instead of 12). BFN
October 23, 2009 -- More cysts. Larger this time. Severe risk of ovarian torsion. Cycle canceled. Try on our own BFN.
November 20, 2009 -- Baseline FSH 12 (borderline high). Femara 5 mg CD4-8, 24 and 18 mm follies on right (possibly blocked tube), none on left, 9.5 mm lining (woohoo), trigger 12/3, IUI#1 with 80 million highly mobile post-wash! BFN
December 21, 2009 -- Operative hysteroscopy. Cleared right tube. Found no fibroid.
January 13, 2010 -- 5 mg Femara CD3-7, three mature follies, IUI#2 with 82 million post-wash! BFN
February 8, 2010 -- 5 mg Femara CD3-7, two mature follies, IUI#3 with 58 million post-wash! BFN
March 6, 2010 -- 5 mg Femara CD3-7 + Estrogen, two mature follies, lining 8.8 mm, IUI #4 with 74 million post wash! BFN
April 2, 2010 -- Cycle 20. No meds. Time to make some decisions. BBT and OPK. Surprise natural BFP?!

- 6w6d u/s -- h/b 112 -- released to OB
- 10w6d -- spotting
- 11w3d -- bright red blood -- u/s confirms no heartbeat and no growth since 7w4d. Missed miscarriage found on June 21, 2010.
- 11w6d -- Spontaneous miscarriage
December 14, 2010 -- Consultation with new RE -- Dr. Smiles. All hormone levels normal. Recommends laparoscopy to take care of large uterine fibroid, suspected endometriosis and then move to Follistim IUI.
January 5, 2011 -- Laparoscopy with Dr. Smiles. Removes uterine fibroid, stage I endo, adhesions and paratubal cyst.
January through March, 2011 -- on BCP recovering from surgery. ANA level found to be elevated. All other immune tests normal.
March 5, 2011 -- Follistim 100 IU CD3-7; 17, 16 and 15 mm follies, E2 563 at trigger; IUI#5 with 80 million post wash! BFN.
April 1, 2011 -- Baseline u/s shows 4 cm cyst on right ovary. Tried on our own. BFN
April 29, 2011 -- Follistim 150 IU CD4-10; 19, 2x15, 4x13 mm follies, 9.0 mm lining, E2 1528 at trigger (YIKES); IUI#6 with 92 million post wash! BFN
May 25, 2011 -- Baseline u/s shows mild OHSS with some fluid, four or five 20-30 mm cysts on each ovary and several 10 mm cysts on each ovary (Looked like we were ready to trigger for IVF). Cycle canceled. Tried on our own. BFN.
June 10, 2011 -- Consultation with Dr. Smiles. Decide we're ready to move on to IVF.
June 21, 2011 -- Decide to take some time on our own before IVF in October/November. Being Zen. Focusing on health. Trying naturally. Ovulating on CD6??? 18 day cycle ends in BFN (not surprisingly...).
July 9, 2011 -- Continued Zen-like plan. Trying naturally. BFN
August 8, 2011 -- Bonus "one last try" before IVF. Looking for some infertility irony here! Test date September 1st. BFN
September 1, 2011 -- IVF Cycle #1 begins. Antagonist protocol. SA leads to low morphology and HOST score. ICSI is recommended. Stims start ~ Sept. 22. Retrieval Oct 4. Transferred two 5-day blasts Oct 9. One expanded blast frozen Oct 10. BFP at 7dp5dt!!
