Hi all!
Today I am 11w6d.
(Unless you go by the weird math the MFM did last week which has me at 11w3d and makes no sense at all given that we know exactly the day these babies were conceived.)
Anyway...
The point is that today I am 11w6d.
And, that's huge. Because, as of right now, I am more pregnant than I've ever been.
Yeah, I know that the last time the baby probably stopped growing around 7 1/2 to 8 weeks. And, we passed that milestone a while ago and saw healthy babies. But, last time, until 11w3d, I thought I was still carrying a living fetus.
And, 11w6d was the last time we saw the baby on ultrasound before I lost it. And 11w6d is the day my body decided to give up and I had a very painful and scary miscarriage on my own the day before I was supposed to have a D&C.
My DH doesn't understand. He keeps saying "we already passed that milestone a while ago." But, as of tomorrow I'll be able to say "I'm 12 weeks pregnant." And, that's a big deal for me.
Today we had a first appointment with a local OB to make sure someone nearby knows my history and knows us just in case we end up delivering here. And, as one of the best perks of having twins, we got another glimpse.
So, now at 11w6d instead of remembering a picture with no heartbeat and a baby measuring 7w4d, I get to say that my two babies have heartbeats of 168 and 170 and are measuring 12w0d and 12w3d.
That's so much better.
woo hoo! go little babies :) it is a huge milestone and I can understand why you just want to get past this last horrible date and then you will feel a measure of relief.
ReplyDeleteyay!
ReplyDeleteUgh, I TOTALLY understand. My milestone whenever I become pregnant again will be 12w1d because that's when I lost mine, even if it stopped growing at 8w5d, it's the 12w1d that sticks in my mind. Congrats on your healthy babies and passing a milestone!
ReplyDeleteYay! Time to celebrate one more date passing. I will drink a gin and tonic in your honor tonight. I'm so glad that you have a new 11w6d visual to think about.
ReplyDelete!!!!! :-D Awesome stuff, Rebecca. Congratulations!
ReplyDeleteWOW double congrats <3 I am not far off, just a week ahead at 12w5d with a singleton. It does get easier and you relax more.
ReplyDeleteCongrats! Congrats! I am just a couple days ahead of you and making it to the 12 week mark feels wonderful! I also bought a doppler and hearing my little one's heartbeat everyday is music to my ears!
ReplyDeleteUmmm, so much better? Talk about ridiculously better!!! Happy almost-12 weeks pregnant, hon!
ReplyDeleteThat's a great milestone!!
ReplyDeleteOh wonderful!! Cngratulations on moving past this milestone.
ReplyDeleteAlmost out of the first trimester! Wow! I am so happy 11w6d has new meaning for you.
ReplyDeletethat's a huge milestone! congrats!!! i hope things continue to progress well. :)
ReplyDeleteAmazing! Yes, the best part of twins is you get to see them a lot! It was great for easing my paranoia!
ReplyDeleteYay for another milestone! So glad all is well.
ReplyDeletewelcome to uncharted territory! Woo hoo!
ReplyDeleteBreathing a big sigh of relief for you. I'm so happy that things are going well. Congratulations on another successful milestone! :)
ReplyDeleteI can totally understand this milestone and all I have to say is YIPPY!!! Your little ticks are there to stay mama =)
ReplyDeleteWhat fantastic news! I've got a goofy smile on my face now :) Congratulations on 12 weeks (tomorrow). I may not know from experience but I know from reading other twin carriers in the past that it really must be so much more exciting to be able to see your little ticks more often. How is the OHSS? I've been hoping your ovaries haven't been giving you any more trouble!! Any word on when you'll be telling more people (IRL) too?
ReplyDeleteThats such wonderful news - I know your feelings all too well. For us it was to get past 9wks6days and see the hb. I don't think the DH's will ever totally understand, they get it, they just don't "get" it.
ReplyDeleteI am so happy we are going through this together - it makes my journey much easier, and i hope yours too!
Good luck with the NT scan on the 19th - I can't wait to see my LO again :)
12 weeks - what wonderful news!!! I'm so happy for you Rebecca. This is your time!
ReplyDeleteI know just how you feel :) I am so glad that you are able to put that memory behind you and move on with these healthy, wonderful babies.
ReplyDeleteI have given you a blog award, please pop over to my blog to pick it up :)
